Thirty-six years ago, I was fortunate enough to be surrounded by a group of artists called “Discovery Art Guild” (DAG). The group was led by my mentor — author, speaker and musician, John Fischer. We all met weekly to study how the Bible was relevant to the Arts. As a result of DAG’s support, I recorded Flying and This Is Not A Dream. Surprisingly, these two recordings took off on a national level and received numerous awards. In 1977, I felt honored that Record World Magazine selected me as the top Contemporary Christian Artist. Along with John Fischer, I was considered one of the pioneers of the early “Jesus Music” movement.

It’s a wiggly world, life got messy, and turbulent waters passed under and over the bridge between then and now. As a result, I wrote a song called “The Now And The Not Yet,” that Amy Grant recorded. It’s still one of my favorites.

For the past twenty years, I’ve been outside the Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) arena. Like the majority of my fans, I’ve been consumed with day jobs; and as a single mother, caring for my daughter, putting her through college, and dealing with the other demands of life.

I was moved to tears when many of my early fans began to find me on Facebook, requesting CD copies of those two early albums. This reaching out caused a spiritual stirring for me, and a sense of responsibility to make these albums available to those who found them so meaningful.

I recently pulled the masters out of the closet and had them re-mastered and repackaged. I am now offering them as a CD boxed set.

There is also a companion songbook with guitar/vocal lead sheets of all twenty-one songs from “Flying” and “This Is Not A Dream,” and piano/vocal sheet music for ten of the most requested tunes, including my most requested song, “Who Do You Say I Am.”

The estimated shipping date is December 17, 2011. If you’d like to pre-purchase one of these packages, I am offering a free download of the Christmas classic, “Mary & Joseph.” I wrote the song and John Fischer and I recorded it as a duet between Mary and Joseph. The sheet music is also available to purchase for those who are interested.
